8700g on tmobile

Please help, I have unlocked 8700g and using it with tmobile, i'm getting message: DATA CONNECTION REFUSED. What I need to do to make it work
with tmobile. (i Have tmo data plan).

Do you have a TMobile SIM in the BB? If you have the BlackBerry Data Plan, you should NOT be getting that message.

Yes, i Have tmo sim card in the BB. Works as a phone/SMS but no data service, no browser icon.

The you don't have the correct BlackBerry Data Plan that you must have.

is BB working only with dedicated BB plan? how about web Web browsing or BB as a modem ?

you can get some web browsing with 3rd party browsers like Opera Mini if you set the following in your APN settings under Options >Advanced Options >TCP:

APN:wap.voicestream.com
Username:
password:

leave username and password blank.


However, you will get no push email or BB Browser. You won't be able to download applications to the device.

It's only $19.99 for an unlimited BB Data Plan with TMo....My suggestion: Just get it. You'll be happier.

just get the BB data plan. it's only an extra $20/month. what are you paying for Tmobile total internet? $10/month? i suggest just getting the BB data plan, you won't regret it
