In advance, thanks to anyone that can help. And thanks for having this wonderful resource.
This is my first Post.
I have an 8700g (t-mobile) that I have purchase on-line and have unlock.
I recently read a post on updating the software version to 4.2.1.96 I was on 3.x
I have done that successfully. Love the new version. If you don’t have it. Get it

However I still have a number of problems.
1. I don’t have a browser (No Icon) to surf the web. I have tried to install Opera-Mini and it does not show up (No Icon)
2. Message reads “Data connection refused”. I signed up for AT&T Media Mail service for $14.99. But I am guessing this is the wrong service.
3. A lot of New Icons (such as setup wizard) How do I get ride of Icons.
I read in a post that I need to reset my IT Security settings. I will do that when I get home. However if there is some other post out there that I have not found Please point me in the right direction. It would be greatly appreciated.

I had one at my old job and loved using it for email/calendar and as my General PDA,
I no longer need the bb for work (NO BES). Rather I am trying to use it as a regular phone with internet browsers.
I have signed up with Google to manage my domain, so I just want to be able to get my gmail email (ie. mydomain.google.com) and maybe gtalk. The calendar would be something for the gods.
I am currently on AT&T and don’t really want to spend more then $20 to get this. Any ideas.
Basically I am currently using my bb for Phone and SMS. And general PDA. What else could I use it for? And How?
