Who can we hound to get a nice leather case made for the 7100T? I'm anxious to get my baby in a supple leather pouch. :D

There is only one company I'd recommend for leather phone cases.

vajacases.com.

vaja makes the nicest cases I've ever seen. If you get Popular Science I was in last months issue because of my affection for Vaja. :)

Wow! You were not kidding, Vaja makes some nice stuff. Are they working on a case for the 7100t?

I have no idea, to be honest.

I wish I did, because the case from them I used on my P900 was *amazing*.

You cannot buy a better case from anyone. It doesn't exist.

Don't hold your breath, sempai! I emailed Vaja Cases about the 7100T and this is the response I got:

"Dear Richard,
We are really glad you are interested in our products. Unfortunately, we are not likely to offer such model in the future, either classic or customized.

Best regards

You MAY be able to get a sleeve-case to fit a 7100t. I'll probably get antsy and see what is available. They make so many...

I would recommend that more people ask Vaja for a case for the 7100t and remind them gently that there were more BlackBerry's sold last year than Treo 600's, and they DO sell a custom case for those.

Maybe they took a huge bath on them?

Two other companies are worth consideration: Krussel and Piel Frama.
They both make high end PDA/phone cases, I don't know if they will make one for the 7100t.

Everyone says Krussel makes some great cases, but I just thought they never had a lot of class. I don't mean to sound snotty, I just don't like having giant sheets of plastic and big zippers on everything.

I guess I should, I'm liable to fall off a Lambretta and gouge my baby one of these days :)

If all 600 people sent an email to Vaja that they would like to see a case designed no Sales guy in the world will ignore that.

A case of the left hand not talking to the right hand. I just received a 2nd reply to my original inquiry. At least they are consistent in their response.

Here's the email from Vaja Cases:

"Hi Richard,

I´m sorry but we don´t plan to release a case for that device.
Anyway, thanks for your interest in our products.

Looks like they are hitting a huge market with the iPod, probably have a good thing going and don't plan on marketing any new products until the iPod is dead. That's unfortunate as a case like this is exactly what I was looking for. :(
