I have a new 8800 that I love. I'd like to download content from Audible.com onto the device. I have Audible Player installed, and can successfully login and view my library. When I try to download content my player just hangs at the connected prompt. The content/library never downloads. I've made the changes to BES suggested at Audible's site, formatted my media card, - no luck.

My player version is 1.0.54.

Any Suggestions are appreciated.

Thanks,

LuvMy8800

You say you are BES, is there any IT restriction from your BES admins?

Per my I.T. Department there are no restrictions. They also made some changes they found in a document on Audible's site to confirm/allow content to be downloaded.

Thanks for replying.

There is an audible air training guide for BB 8100 & 8800. Copy it and make sure you are following each detail in the guideline. They have excellent sceenshots to guide you in this training guide.

#1 I had to download the books thru the computer using bb desktop software as I can't get it to download directly over audible air with BB.

#2 When loading books to your bb memory card using desktop manager;
select device memory;
enter music when asked name of new folder, click ok;
doubleclick on music, create a new folder "audible" inside it.

This is the file and location that audible looks for when you are loading a format #4 (must download format 4 on 8800) book on your media card. If you load them in different location, audible will not find and read your selection.

I don't understand but it works and I have listened to over 10 books in last few months.

Hello-

I have a new 8830 as well. If you look here:

Answer (http://audible.custhelp.com/cgi-bin/audible.cfg/php/enduser/std_adp.php?p_faqid=3370&p_created=1158870942)

you are able to load the Java player on to the 8830. Works fine for me.

Hope this helps,

Andy
