View Full Version : size of incoming mail

When I receive emails on my 7280 it will say that there is "more available" if it is a long message. I am just wondering what the size limit is for each individual email. Is it 2KB? Any help would be appreciated to avoid roaming charges.

you can change the size of attachments "cache size" under attachment options. your data limit depends on the data plan that you have with your service carrier.

Overage charges are not the same as roaming charges

I pay 2cents for every KB received when I am roaming.

Basically, The BB gateway sends email to your device in 2kb chunks. If the email is larger than that, then you need to choose more from your menu and another 2kb chunk of data will be delivered. If you want the whole message at one time, choose More all.

I've read pretty large emails, something like 30 kilobytes. You just need to select "More All" to get the whole thing.

Just to be sure: we cannot change this 2kb setting to e.g. 8 kbyte on our BES 4 server?
