For those of you looking for something to plug in your 3.5mm earphones for stereo sound with you 8830 you can stop by best buy and pick this up. It allows stereo sound and comes with a mic so you can also make phone calls.

It's a little larger than I'd want as it has a winding cord but it has worked really well. The semico links i've seen on here seem to have 3 lines on the plug where this one only has 2 (go figure).

I got that at target, but it wasnt stereo sound. I am positive. Listen to the Seidio and then that one. BIG difference.

I only count 2 black rings on the input jack above (metal part you insert).

I believe for stereo sound you must have 3 black rings.

Yup, that is mono. You need 4 contacts for stereo output on the adapter.

1. Left positive
2. Right positive
3. Microphone positive
4. common ground

Yup -- I still recommend Seidio's adapters.

Well that sucker is going back to best buy. Stereo isn't mono in both ears.

HA HA.

Siedo is the only option right now. If you are high end you can wait for the shure verison to come out. But they proablly charging 40.00 instead 14.95 at siedo.

Oh and target have it for cheaper then best buy.... :)

Well you can also order one from Verizon for $13.90 delivered to your door. It is definitely stereo and includes a mic for phone calls and also a pause/mute button --> Enter your location (http://www.verizonwireless.com/b2c/store/controller?item=accessoryMart&action=viewAccessoryDetailSearch&selectedPhoneId=3406&make=Samsung&model=FlipShot™%20in%20Black&accessoryId=31168&market=All)

Do you or anyone else have one of these? If so how is the sound quality?

LG makes an adapter that's stereo and is $9.99. It works for ANY headphones and it works in cars as well with inputs to the stereo. Search for my posts in the other thread about this and you'll find it.
