Hello all,

Would a battery from the Pearl work on the Curve?

Just a wild thought as I might want to buy a Curve in the next few months. Perhaps I could use my old Pearl battery as my back up battery.

I see on BB's website that they have C-M2 model # for the pearl and C-S2 as the model number for the Curve and tons of other BB device. However, technically, would it work?? Anyone dare to try and post the results? =P

Thanks all,
CKL

since they're different model numbers, i doubt they'll work.

you're buying a curve, probably without a new plan, am i right? what's another 60 bucks for a battery (or whatever it is)

No, it won't work.
The batteries are different.

If you search, you will find a thread that the Seidio extended battery for the Pearl will work on the Curve. They won't guarantee it but there are people using it. It holds a little more juice and works with the standard cover.

Why not? It works.. All BlackBerrys since the 8700 use the same battery format.

Just that Pearl's battery is thiner so it has less capacity.
