T-Mobile Corporate is having another great deal but you must go through an Account Executive to get it. Several people on this forum have already used my friend Shannon from T-Mobile Corporate and have written some great reviews (check the rest of this thread).

These must all be new activations (Voice and Data).

BlackBerry 7105t: $99.99 after $100.00 mail in rebate

BlackBerry 7290: $99.99 no mail in rebate required

Call Shannon today at 214-523-4281 (email is shannon.luther@<hidden>)

This deal extended through January

This deal however is only for US residents and you must activate a brand new line, or add a line to an existing account.

Is this promotion real? It has been advertised on Craigslist and I spoke with a T-Mobile rep in NY. He requested I send him my info for a credit check. It seems like a scam, though it looks legit. He included his t-mobile sales rep #. 7230's are 19.99 and 7100t's are 49.99 after rebate. Am weary of giving personal info for a credit check. Anyone do this yet?

It's probably legit. I'll check with our govt sales rep just to make sure though.

There are several anandtech forum members (including myself) who have already purchased through shannon from T-Mobile corporate.

see link: http://forums.anandtech.com/messageview.aspx?catid=40&threadid=1545019&enterthread=y

I believe that the credit check is due to the fact that T-Mobile Corporate typically sells to small/medium sized businesses and does this to protect against fraud.

That is legit, but you are forced to work through a 3rd party (Venicom) and cannot deal with T-mobile directly to do simple things like change your number of minutes.

Thanks for the help guys. I spoke with Shannon (email above), and it seems legit. She even gave me her agent code and a t-mobile 800 number to verify that she works for t-mobile.

so i'm sure you've heard of a lot of changes, improvements, benefits, etc coming down the near-term pipeline (one week out), then?

It really depends on the voice plan that you have to subscribe to. If I get the $39.99 voice plan with any BB plan addon, I can get that $149 7290 price anytime with a reseller on a new subscription.

Great deals on older devices like 7100 or 7290 in this stage of the game means, a newer device is also around the corner. They will want to unload inventory.

in the case of the 7100, yes... the 7105 has been reported as being 1-3 weeks away from street day (adjusted for lapse of time). as for the 7290, i haven't heard of any replacements in the pipeline (maybe there is a 7295 or something planned, but i doubt it... heh) until next year with the release of the electron.

the changes i am alluding to are not necessarily related to the blackberry but their product (service) as a whole...

Will they honor the new deals for me in a week if I just signed up a bunch of new lines?

While we have all seen pictures of the 7105, why is there no application on the FCC website for a Class II Permissive Change for the new screen and button layout? RIM had to file this for the 7100 even when they just wanted to put out two new cases for the 7100. BTW, can someone check the model number on the 7100G/R. I wonder if it is the same as the 7100T.

Isn't the 7290 new to T-Mobile??? I know the other carriers have had it a while but the 7290 was just released to the public from T-Mobile a few months ago in the Spring?

Am I smoking crack, cause if it is going away, the 7290, something big must be coming.(Crossing my fingers, but knowing its not)

the 7290's come off of back order on friday.. email i got regarding my order on my 7290

Team,

We currently have about 2100 on backorder, but we expect a shipment of 3560 units to arrive at the warehouse on Friday. That leaves 1,460 for the taking.
Direct Fulfillment does not know when the next shipment will be after Friday or for how many.

I ordered flowers off of www.ftd.com the other day and received an email from FTD Flowers offering me a free Blackberry I get to choose from the 7100t, 7105, or the 7290. You must be a new customer, and it's must be new activation for phone and data. I haven't decided if I will do it or not yet, was going to do it as a gift for hubby, still thinking if he will like the blackberry or not. Reading all your posts to make a decision.
