I have just purchased a used 7290 model and need some general help. I am trying to access any kind of Web Browser from the device. Can any one help with this? Directions on how to set it up? Thanks.

Is the web browser icon on the device?
Do you have a BlackBerry Data Plan on your account?

You need a BlackBerry Data Plan from your carrier, then the Browser icon and e-mail setup icons will appear on your Blackberry device.

Welcome to the forums,
I recommend JiveTalk. It's got most all the bugs worked out of it and is a great IM application. It works with just about all the major IM clients. It's not free but is well worth the money.
