Please don't tell me that my mic is busted. You sent me a replacement handset because your tier 2 techs couldn't understand that these problems we're all having aren't physical, they are SOFTWARE....Just upgrade the code from 4.0 on - so that the microphone gain value is not so high!

Jebus! Do I have to do it myself?

PLEASE MAKE AN UPGRADE AVAILABLE TO FIX:

random reboot
typing speed
mic gain

I'd feel better if we could just get a rep from RIM on the board to answer some questions. I cannot imagine that their engineering people are really not aware of these problems.

i'm pretty sure their reps are on forum lurkers. as for typing speed, i've never really experienced an issue, aside from the CPU being overworked thus causing the rate of typing to lag. this could be viewed as a hardware limitation as compared to the overhead required to run the software - call it flawed hardware design implementation (or the easy way to make a cheaper handheld).
