how do you reset a 7100r?

What are you trying to do? Remove all of the customer data? Restart it? Reload the OS?

If you mean "reboot" or soft reset, then you need to remove and replace the battery.

If it's a 7100t from T-Mobile, just try making an important phone call. If your call is important enough, the 7100t will reset itself during the middle of the call.
