I have a Blackberry 957. Under Options -> Status, it says I have:
Memory Free - 205,860 bytes
File Free - 2,587,136 bytes
O/S - 2.6.1
Flash Size - 5M
I want to develop and load Java apps on this. I downloaded the Blackberry Java Development Environment and successfully created and compiled the sample app, which runs fine in the Blackberry simulator.
I also created the ALX file.
But when I go to the Application Loader in the Blackberry Desktop Manager, I can't upload the application. I can browse to the ALX file in the Application Loader Wizard, and select it, but when I click Open I get a dialog box "No additional applications designed for your handheld were found".
Does this Blackberry support Java? Do I have to load Java on the Blackberry, or update the operating system from 2.6.1?
Thanks for your help
Bill
