Just got my blackberry pearl and i need to know how to take off the suretype thing and if u cud give me any features to put on my phone

I would give suretype a chance first. Most people resist it at first but if you stick with it then you become very fast! It will take a little time as it learns your work prefs. The most important thing is to just type not looking at the screen and let it do it's thing.

If you really want to disable then create a new message and while in the text field hit Menu>Enable multi-tap
