View Full Version : Could someone please send me these?

I had to replace my 7100T today due to a bad speakerphone. I did a backup/restore proceedure, but for some unknown reason the default jpg picture files that came with the picture application got trashed. According to BB support - the only easy way for me to get them back would be to have someone send them to me via an e-mail message attachment.

I am most interested in the Dune backgrounds but if someone would be kind enough to send me all of them I would be very appreciative. They should be in a folder file on the BB.

Thanks very much in advance to anyone willing to do this for me.

umm, thats odd. it seems everyone else who don't want them end up with them back. :-)

just upgrade your handheld version to the latest. or reload the software. they'll come back.

I'm trying to avoid re-loading the software as all my personal settings will be gone. This was confirmed by technical support at Tmobile. This isn't a really big deal - I was just trying to get someone to e-mail me the pictures and then I could simply copy them to a folder and get them back.

Would you be willing to do this for me?

Desktop Manager > Backup/Restore > Backup

Once you have reloaded the software, do the same thing and Restore. Personal settings will be saved and restored.

The reason why no one has likely sent you these is because its not possible. Without a third party application, we do not have access to the file system (even then, I'm not really sure if we would), so doing what you are asking for is not as simply as going into a folder within Windows and attaching those images to an email addressed to you. These images are stored within a built-in database within the OS.

Ok thanks - makes sense. Stupid question - how do I reload the OS?

OK - I figured it out. There is actually a "repair OS" option on the reload.
I did that and all the pictures are back. One nice bonus was that it didn't mess with my personal settings.

Now if someone could get the calculator to work with the small font theme - I would be a very happy camper.
