Can anyone clarify what operating system the new 8820 is running?Does it have the OS similar to the Curve with the newer media player?

Yes it has the same OS features as the curve.

Wish I could get a copy of the 8820 software so I could et rid of the PTT on my 8820.

Wish they would just allow you to delete it like some of the other applications

Oh no, I'm having the same problem loading apps to the 8820 like I have with my 8310 when using desktop manager. It gives me the error message "No additional application designed for your device found".

I am also having the same error .. "No additional application designed for your device found".

Currently, installing apps over the air.
