Sorry if this is a repetative thread, but i am looking for a free gps navigation program for my 8800 that is comparable to Telenav.

I read a little about the amazeGPS and nav4all programs, but was wondering if there are any others out there. What i really like about telenav is the voice navigation. Do these other two come with that?

Thanks a lot for any advice.

PS. i live in Canada. I know people were saying some programs aren't the greatest for Canadian cities.

I agree...Mapquest Navigator is the best. You can get a FREE DL at MapQuest: Mobile Maps & Driving Directions (http://www.mapquest.com/mobile/)

It looks like it's only available for Sprint/Nextel?

I bought the Garmin software. It does turn by turn but I really think it's not half as good as Telenav. I wasted $100 and went back to Telenav.

Maquest works perfectly fine on my at&t 8800 with at&t service. Still, I'd say Telenav has the edge. It reroutes faster in my experience and doesn't make Mapquest's typical dumb suggestion of "make a U-turn" when you miss your exit/turn (right, I'll just make a U on this freeway).
