phone as on, and suddenly showed error 365 reset.
there is no way to reset the phone. popping the battery doesn't resolve it.

I purchased this phone in feb 2005 from cingular. (n)

Try reloading the handheld software. If that doesn't work, you will probably need to have the unit replaced. I've had a couple devices with that error and it was usually hardware related.

Next time try searching please, as this has been answered quite a few times before.

Good luck!

When you reload the handheld software, make sure to pick the options to erase currently installed applications and do not perform a backup/restore.

You'll find those under an advanced button on the Finish screen.

If it still gives the error after that, call your carrier for support.

I searched the archives and did not find an appropriate answer.
The BB does not communicate with the PC at all. USB does not see the device.
Sounds to me reloading is out of the question...

If it doesn't see the handheld at all, you could try disabling the power management for your USB Root Hubs.. assuming you are in Windows XP. That works sometimes.

Also leave the BlackBerry plugged into the computer and take the battery out for a few seconds then put it back in.

We've had a couple of these, and they had to be returned to Cingular for replacement. If you look up the error code in RIM's knowledgebase, it directs you to call for assistance.
