maps malfunction

Hello, I have an 8300 in romania. first when i tried to open maps, all i could see was somenthing very vague, a kind of google maps (no roads, countries, etc. i uninstalled maps and now, when i tryto reinstall from BB site, i have a message:
Attempt to load an invalid file. Please try again.

How did you uninstall maps? Can you be more specific?

Try pulling the battery of your BlackBerry and rebooting, see what happens.
