View Full Version : Cannot set up account...PIN/IMEI already registered?

Hey all
Be easy on me, I am not too technically savy and this is my first blackberry. I bought it from someone else and everytime I try to set up the account, it says the PIN/IMEI is already registered. I tried calling Cingular and they were no help, and the guy I bought the phone from is out of town. Does anyone know what to do? I will be eternally grateful!!

get him to cancel his service until he does that you are out of luck

Yes, i would give the same advice. It's either he give up the service or he's ported into another BB device and free this IMEI/pin can you use yours. He's the key.

He probably just needs to remove this PIN from his BB Web client if that is the way he is set up.

I had the same problem. I called T-mo bb support and they fixed it for me and then set up my bwc account for me. Very helpful.

Search for your problem - I posted another reply for a similar issue and included the 800 number for the T-mo bb support folks.
