Does the IM+ use data or sms charges when I use any of the IMs?

What IM are you using? I believe only the 8320 uses Data for Iming. Unless you're using Jivetalk which also uses data. Is IM+ a different application?

Yes, IM+ is a chat application from Shape Services.

It has nothing to do with what device you are using. Some programs for IMing use SMS. For example, OZ uses SMS. People have been hit with big bills because they did not know that Yahoo through the OZ messaging program uses SMS, and they didnt have unlimited text messaging. IM+ and JiveTalk both use Data.

There are advantages of the ones that use SMS though over the ones that use only data.
