I'm curious to know how many have willing decided to stick with their 87xx series and below rather than upgrade to the newer "track ball" devices and why???

Our company standard is still the 8700 because its relatively inexpensive and durable.

I haven't made the jump yet. I really want either the 8820 or the Pearl. Need to wait until all debts are gone first. Thanks, Total Money Make Over!!

Having no money is a good reason;-)

I hold off for a while and now I have the 8300 and I love it!Better sound quality, better bluetooth, better display, thinner, smaller and the track ball after a week is like a mouse on a computer.

I have the 8703e with Sprint and haven't upgraded because I really don't like the tracball thing. My son-in-law has a Curve and it seems like a toy compared to my 8703

I shall NEVER EVER upgrade past the 87xx (unless I have to...aka they don't make em anymore and I break it...even then...Ebay!)

Why? The TrackWheel. I hate that stupid joystick

I am sure they will improve it. When I used the Pearl it did feel a little awkward, but that is just because I was used to the trackwheel. I am sure I will get used to it.

Sprint manager told me that the trackball was made to alleviate issues with left handed users. oh yeah, the berry rep was there when he told me this.

I am a severe early adaptor, so I have gone the whole Pearl/8800/Curve route, but several of my co-workers refuse to let go of their 8700's because they have been so reliable.

i loved the 8700, rock hard and dependable -- UNTIL I used the 8800. The trackball is no biggie, i got used to it. But the speed and features on the newer BBs is wonderful.

I too loved the 8700g, but have moved to the 8320 (tried the Pearl and couldn't take the small keypad, and liked the keypad on the 8320 better than the 8820) and love it. I will probably keep the 8700g for backup as it is a workhorse, but I have already come to love the trackball.

I guess I must be a Luddite. I'm still happy with the 7290.

I have an 8703e and 8320 ... the only reason I wouldn't keep the 8320 is because tethering is painfully slow (T-Mobile versus VZW). From a device functionality standpoint ... after 2 days I was over the change to the trackball ... I'm so much faster with it now.

I didn't plan on getting a 8320 until my wife broke my 8700. Thanks wifey!

8700 I have. I do want an 8310 very much and am holding of because the money is better spent on bills at the moment!

Unless I could sell my 8700,7230,8830 and pearl (bad lcd) to come up with money for 8310 hmmmmmm but then I'd have no back up!
