How are you all? Ok so I have read through the threads and understand it is not designed for CDMA; however if I know it was lost or stolen, couldn't I use all the features? Such as to get my contacts, where the phone is, call me, lock it, set alarm aswell as wipe? I know that they wouldn't be changing the sim b/c it does not have one. but once I notice it is missing, couldn't I use all the software to get it back? I really want to get this program, but I would like to get these answered first. And I have not heard back from Dexmobile yet. Thank you all in advance.

hey all...

nice to meet you guys.. iam a newbie here and i use a 8800 with verizon..

I bought Roblock from Blackberry App World for $4.99..just bought from my phone's app world and it works great..

However there are a few issues.. there is no product website url or any details about the web interface in app world.. i had to search Google for roblock to go to their website. Finding the web interface in vapssky.com was another big journey. Wish they had it in a more user friendly manner.

But overall its a great must have product which i would happily recommend..

yes you can but its lot cheaper in blackberry app world and the developer website when compared to handango.. i dont know why the price varies

roblock handango - $9.95
roblock at vapssky.com (developer site) - $4.95 if you get promotional code
roblock at blackberry app world - $4.99

Has anyone just receive a message about a new version? Mine is set to automatically check and just popped this up. But it then trys to go to http://dexmobile.com/roblockbb.jad and gives a 503 error.

Since it's now Vapssky and not Dexmobile now, I'm not sure if it's a different download site or just overwhelmed. The main website itself seems to not be working now. Perhaps overwhelmed.

Late last night I figured it out myself. There is no link anywhere on the website that I can find to download it. But while in the web interface, the instruction .pdf is available. In it, the new download link is listed: www.vapssky.com/roblockbb.jad

Please disregard this question - looks like Vapssky responded to my ticket. Sorry.

>I changed BlackBerries and my CD Code will no longer work (says already used).
>I opened a ticket a few weeks ago on the Vappsky Web site - but looks like there isn't anyone responding to tickets. Does anyone know if this

Hi,

I'm having difficulty with Roblock 2 on my BlackBerry Curve 8900.

the 8xxx version gives me graphical screens (which I need a magnifying glass to read) .

Seems like the menu options (like 'authorized SIM' do not appear when I press the menu button.

I tried the Bold version on my curve - which seems to work in text mode instead of graphical mode - but lets me enable/disable and enter the SMS number - no other fields - changes cannot be saves - it keeps saying I need to enter a mail recipient - but there isn't a field for that.

Anyone had any luck on a BlackBerry Curve 8900?

I had this program working on my curve 8300 previously - with a few bugs - bug mostly worked.

Thanks,

PHT

I just got an email from Xroblock advertising a beta of version 3.0.

The Vapssky site has no mention of this, and the beta was from a new domain name.

What gives? Legit or ????

About Us - xroblock.com

"xRoblock is owned and managed by Xim Technologies, LLC, headquartered in Houston, Texas with a development center in Chennai, India. Prior versions of xRoblock were branded as Roblock and are still managed and operated by Vapssky Technologies Private Limited. Vapssky is a founding member of Xim Technologies, LLC. "

So there was Dexmobile, which turned into (sold? merged? changed name?) Vapssky. Now some new company that they co-founded??? If I hadn't already purchased it, I think I'd wait until they work out the ownership stuff. I wonder if they're working out some way to discontinue Roblock 2.0 service.

You're right. If you ask them about problems with Roblock 2.0, they don't respond.....

I had luckily bought mine from Handango, so when I had issues and they didn't respond, I contacted Handango and they pressed from their end. Then I finally got a response.

I think I know why those guys don't respond. They introduced the same software with a new name: GadgetTrak and they also changed the price: from 9,95 to 24,95!

I purchased a Storm 9530 in September and downloaded Roblock from App World almost immediately. Everything has always worked for me EXCEPT for the "WHERE."

I have never had the ability to locate my phone. I have sent numerous requests for assistance to Vapssky, and they reply to each one within 1 day. They tell me they are working on my problem, and continue to send requests for patience or ask me to install updates on my phone after I delete the previous version. They are responsive, however my problem remains unresolved.

I just finished uninstalling and reinstalling Roblock again after this morning's latest email response from Vapsky, but still no success.

The replies I've received seem to indicate that I am not the only one experiencing this issue. Their latest reply said, "We have further fixed some minor issues in 2.9 that may have caused your storm 9530 from getting the GPS coordinates properly. Please remove and install Roblock."

I would appreciate hearing from anyone one else that has been able to successfully resolve this issue.
