Wow.

I am shocked at the lack of support I'm getting out of Vaja.

Here is there most recent response. Another B.S. canned reply. I've responded back in hopes someone else will realize the level of this issue and hopefully get involved.

"Lawrence,

Ixxx180;m sorry I didnxxx180;t reply earlier to your mails, but we have a difference in time with you here in Buenos Aires.

Please notice that the pictures in our website show exactly the same fit your pictures show:

http://www.vajacases.com/images/smar.../detail_01.jpg

http://www.vajacases.com/images/smar.../detail_02.jpg

Having the Blackberry a rounded top, our designers decided to make the casexxx180;s top shorter, so as to mantain the devicexxx180;s good looks.
Regarding the aniline leather your cases were made with, this is one of the best looking and most adaptable leather types among genuine leather in the market.

We have a very strict Quality control dept and they assure me the cases you have received have the proper fit, as shown in our website.

Please let me know if you have any other problem concerning your cases, so I may help you out.
Thank you.
I

Best regards,

Nora Stolzenwald

I had a similarly designed vaja case for my old 7100 blackberry and the screen plastic did develop small scratches, along with what appeared to be stress scratches or fractures at some of the edges after a month of use. Yes, it protected my device's screen but I used a regular protector anyway.
I don't like the glare this screen protector creates.

geez,i was looking forward to ordering a 1052,but now not quite sure.maybe ill go with the 1051,only prob there is when opened no screen protector.i work landscaping and worried about dirt & sand on my ears from the leaf blower scratching the screen.i might have to just get used to using speakerphone then.hhhmmmmmmmmmmmm.by the way,im fairly new and absolutely love this board.great useful information.

Just get yourself a good screen protector and you'll be fine.

No pics yet but I just received my Vaja case today. Any update on yours lgreenberg. Mine fit like a glove ! I like the fit alot as the top is nice and snug as opposed to the Krussel I tested which the top kinda *bowed* out in the center.

I've used it all day today and the *feel* of the trackwheels use is good - I was not getting a good tactile response with the Krussel.

My only minor complaint is that the plastic cover in the front - it's very clear but the bottom edge does not seem to be cut perfectly. I see 2 minor *burrs* on the edge.

Is there any further word from Vaja on a 8700G version of the RI052? Just as important, is there any further word from Vaja on the fit and finish concerns LGreenberg shed light on? Anyone?

I will ask my Vaja contact about that and post the answer in here ASAP. As for the fit, my RI051 cases fit perfectly. Just a good push or two and they're snugly protected. These are the same as the RI052, but have an additional front flap on them.

I also have an RI052 for my 8700c on the way for review. When it arrives I can again test the fit of the device and I will make comments about it in the review.

That would be nice. I would love a sleeper magnet for my case.

I had that problem with the Krusell body glove case I had. I had heck using the trackwheel with that case.

Great! I'll look forward to hearing more. Vaja has lived up to its hype with past products I've purchased, but honestly, the difference in opinion between you and LGreenberg is a fairly wide one regarding this model case, which leaves me somewhat confused.

Seattle, 10 days and no response from your Vaja contact yet? Just keeping tabs.

Sorry, forgot. They emailed me about it a few days ago, here is their response:

Hello Marc, how are you?
Thanks for your message! IŽve talked about the 8700g with VajaŽs ID manager, and the answer is yes but they donŽt have any specific date yet...

IŽll keep you noticed, donŽt worry

Seattle, Thanks for the follow-up! You guys really do run the best user-run support site of any of the 'smart device' forums. Hats off to ya!

Just hope Vaja gets it to market before leaked rumors of the next-gen blackberry start showing up.

Has anyone with the 8700G tried to fit the RI052 case on it? Results? As long as the turn-around time is for Vaja to produce these, I'm playing russian roulette with my berry's ability to remain unprotected, outside of the OEM leather pouch, and a film/skin isn't exactly my first choice. Anyone?
