Arrow Question for lgreenberg

Hi lgreenberg,
First Visa and I would like to thank you for your reviews, both helpful and informative.
I always wear my 8700 clipped inside my pant pocket with the OEM holster. Is it easy to get the blackberry out one handed if you were to wear it this way with the Seidio? (Seems like it might be awkward)
I already have the Forte STI vertical pouch + the Egrips + “best skins ever” on order but would be willing to order this as well due to the extra protection and low profile.... err one can't be to careful.. my first 8700 took a spill from inside my pocket, landed on my front porch, came out of the OEM holster and the screen cracked..

I'm not 100% proficent at removing/inserting the Blackberry one handed yet. I still find it easier to do it two handed. I'm not saying it can't be done one handed. It definetly can I'm just not good at it yet.

Is it safe to assume the Seidio holster will fit the 8700g coming out from T-mobile shortly, or do possible deviations of the 8700g from the 8700c case shape make this an unsafe assumption?

I asked that a few days ago but if you look at the case difference between the -c and -g. The -g just seems to be a bit rounded on the bottom of the device compared to the -c. Everything else about the housing of the two devices are identical, so I think it would be safe to assume that this Seidio holster will adequately protect the -g.

Arrow Okay, made up my mind..

I just ordered it.. I like the idea of having a holster but don't really trust the OEM version for obvious reasons. My only concern now is how conferrable its going to be inside my pocket, it looks like the latch on top protrudes past the top of the blackberry and that might dig in to my hip.. What are your thoughts?

I don't think it'll be a problem.

But that's just me.

Larry,

Thanks for the great review. I purchased one on Friday and I was charged the full price even tho I put in the correct discount code. I have emailed their support requesting they look into. I have not heard from them probably because it is a weekend, but it was that little bit off that pushed me over the top to order. I suspect they will honor those that put in the code according to your review. If not, I'll let you know. Thanks and keep those great reviews coming.

I'd love one, but to ship it to Canada costs $20 US. That is way to high for a $29 dollar product.

I'll have both a 8700g (cincinnati bell wireless, not T-mobile, but I think it is the same device) and the clip by thursday (hopefully) so i'll post if it fits or not.

I just received my Seidio Holster and it lives up to the reviews. I really like this as a solution for me. I loved the OEM plastic holster for it's simplicity and the low profile off your belt. I hated it because it broke and was not safe as a holder. This acheives both the simplicty and low profile but feels VERY secure in holding the device and staying on the belt.

I also have the OEM leather holder and I liked it except that it is like having a piece of luggage on my belt - it sits very far out.

I am going to give the Seidio a trial in real world use but my intial thoughts are that I have found my everyday holder.

Unhappy Doesn't Fit 8700g

I have some bad news :(

The case doesn't fit on the 8700g. It looks like the 8700c has a bit more plastic right above the speakerphone. On the 8700g there is little/no space above the speaker for the clip to hold onto. Also my clip did not come with the small peace of rubber that are shown in the review pictures, but that doesn't affect the fit on the 8700g

My post count isn't high enough to post an image but you can see a picture of the clip at: [Triple W][dot]tonybunce[dot][com][slash]8700gSeidio.JPG

On a side note my 8700g did not come with the OEM plastic clip. It came with a (OEM) leather holster but it was fixed clip, no flap.
