================================================== =====

Well...Wasn't this a interesting little application to review. I can honestly say, that because it was free, it was pretty cool. I can see the functionality of it, but it was one of those things that made me scratch my head.

The program was VERY basic, but pretty extensive in the information that it contained. There were some BB terms that I did not find and others that I found that I was not expecting. I cannot go in to a lot of detail because there isnt much to review here, so let's move on.

You download the application. It doesnt show up as a .ALX file (which really threw me off). You run the intaller, which installs on your PC. Then you run the Application loader and the file is already listed in the apploader content, you just have to check the box for installation. Easy enough, but for a first timer, maybe a little confusing.

There is no introductory screen, just a list of every acronym in the database.

You can type the letters of the abbreviation or acronym that you want to search. Here is what it looks like:

As seen above, if there is more than one correct abbrevation, they are all listed. The menu option is also very brief.

I feel that this application could be one of those applications that you like but never really rave about, because let's be honest, who really needs to know what the acronym they are looking at means. Most acronyms that we see, we know already. As I also said earlier, this application is vast in the information listed, but does not cover every acronym that I searched for.
It does its job and that's all I can ask for from this program. For that, It earns 3 out of 5 stars.

Would this program deserve a lesser grade if there were a fee involved?

Yes, the reason that it deserved 3 berrys:

1. Program is simple, yet effective
2. Does what it states with no issues
3. Free

Reason it did not deserve more:

1. Not all acronyms are listed
2. Loading process a little difficult
