Product: Prima Cell Style Leather Case for 8700
Price: $29.95 USD

Prima is a relatively new company from Bellagio Designs. This is their first batch of BlackBerry 8700 cases. They offer a Vertical Holster, Lateral Holster, Cell style and Flip style cases, shown here:

The Flip style cases are currently being redesigned after discovering some minor issues, and I will have the new units ready for review very soon.

As for this case, the Cell Style, it is made of a strong, stiff black leather. It has a two-snap pull over piece that secures the device into the case, yet leaves all ear holes, buttons and ports available at all times. The screen is not covered by plastic, so the entire face of the device is free of obstruction. Typing is not hindered either.

It has a ratcheting belt clip system, with stops at 90 degree angles. When worn, the case is about medium on a low profile scale, and the clip does not cause discomfort to the hip.

Rating: I give this case 4 out of 5 Berries.

Conclusion: This is a great case for those of you who like open face cabrio style designs. The craftsmanship is great, the fit is perfect, and the clip system works well. The only thing keeping this case from receiving 5 Berries is the lack of color customization - black is the only choice thus far - and lack of different belt clip designs.

Pros: Strong grip on device, nice belt clip system, inexpensive.

Cons: Only available in black, only one belt clip option available.
