Default Hands on review: Fortte 7130c Open Faced Case - 07-20-2006, 10:37 AM

Fortte 7130c Open Faced Case

Hands on review by lgreenberg

Price as reviewed: $29.99

Fortte has become the hands down leader in cases for the Blackberry. They are continually stepping up with new designs for every Blackberry on the market.

Today I’ll be reviewing Fortte’s latest release. The Blackberry 7130c Open Faced Leather Case.

This case is made from tough, black leather. The case contains a built in plastic screen protector.

The version I was sent has a fixed belt clip. But as with all Fortte cases there are several belt clip options to choose from when ordering this case.

The other clip options include:

Swivel Clip

Belt Loop

Ratchet Clip

Heavy Duty Clip

The case is also available in a variety of colors. Black, brown, red, just to name a few.

The device is inserted into the case and then two snaps keep it securely in the case.

Once inserted into the case all of the 7130’s ports and buttons remain fully accessible.

The case also has a cut out on the back for the speaker so ring tones and alerts won’t be muffled.

The case has a built in, clear plastic screen protector.

This does not take anything away from the overall clarity of the screen. (It's my photographic skills which aren't so good. )

The keyboard remains fully exposed.

When placed on one’s belt this case offers a slim profile.

I can’t find any faults with this case. If you’re looking for an open faced case and are okay with the fact that they don’t have sleeper magnets than this could be the case for you.

It’s made from superb leather, has a strong closure method and a quality belt clip. With the support you get from Fortte you can’t go wrong.

I give this case my highest rating. 5 out of 5 Blackberries.

Pros: High quality leather, built in screen protector, fully customizable.
Cons None.

the only thing I don't like about this case is that the bottom corners aren't protected. Other than that I love all of the Fortte cases.

Now, that belt is a whole other story
