Question Messages in Folders on Exchange

Please Login to Remove!

We just switched carriers and activated our new Blackberries onto Enterprise. Is there any way to get old emails saved on folders on exchange to be viewable on the balckberries. Not being able to view old emails saved in folders is becoming an issue. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

assuming you are using a recent version of BES - how many days of previous email did you set the BES to populate the devices with when you activated them? I think the default is 5 and the limit is 350.

someone else here might be be able to clarify this, or check with RIM.

I think the other option, which your users probably won't like, is forwarding the emails back to yourself.

The short answer is no.

Pre-population of the inbox for a newly activated device only covers the inbox, not folders, and as cepheid states there's a limit on the number of days and messages (I think you can now go to 7 days and 500 emails max). The only way to get those old folder items in would be to do a back up of the old devices (on the basis you still have them and they're not wiped) and restore this data to the new devices. Not a quick option I know, but it's the only one you have.
