| DST 2007 Part 2a Please Login to Remove! This weekend is the original weekend for Daylight Savings Time. Guess we'll find out Sunday morning if anybody screams that their device went backwards one hour. Next weekend (Part 2b) is when the real change happens. Can't wait to see what will happen then....
Doughnuts falling from the sky.
Up is down.
Cats and dogs living together.
Crossing the streams. (Go hdawg!)

| I'm just going to cross my fingers. I survived upgrading 2 servers this week, too, so a measly hour off on the calendar is child's play

| The only continued fallout I predict, may be from errant devices with old firmware. We caught one this past week, since it was displaying appointments in the Oct 28 2007 - Nov 04 2007 range, as one hour off. Upping that 8700c to 4.2.1.155 fixed that (I seem to recall 4.1.0.377, or something like that was the magic number). That device was the sole 8700c device with 4.1.0.194. I guess we missed that one back in March.

| I have one reported issue (so far) of wrong time on 1 device - MINE!
I have a Sprint 8830 with OS 4.2.2.123. My time was off by 1 hour when I got up this morning. My hubby's Sprint 8830 is NOT off by 1 hour.
Timezone is correct on both (Eastern). It doesn't seem to matter if my date/time source is set to Blackberry or Network, if I click 'Update Time' it goes back 1 hour (even though the Network time is correct).
I checked with other users on the same BES and they are all showing the correct time (Sprint, Nextel, and AT&T users).
The BES does have the DST patch installed (I remember clearly since we just did the knife edge cutover this past Tuesday and that is one of the steps).
I'll be calling RIM tomorrow....
Anyone else having any issues?

| All seems to be going well so far. Nobody screaming that they are late because the BlackBerry is 1 hour behind.
Hope it goes as well next weekend!

| ok, I'm about to ask the stupid question of the day.
BES 4.0
I originally deployed the DST2007 patch and it went off without a hitch. Since then we added a bunch of handhelds, none of which got the software policy for DST. I went into the configuration tool and manually assigned all the blackberries the software configuration and they should get the update here soon.
I can't seem to figure out how to apply the Patch as a default policy for all handhelds (so they get the patch as they are added to the system). | | Offline

| I believe you'll have to apply the config each time manually. Quote:
