Does anyone have a viable strategy for business continuity for BES for Domino v4.0??

My co has a hotsite and we need a good strategy for fail-over. (load balancing / automatic fail-over would be great, but manual fail-over is fine).

yup we have a fail over strategy for 2.2 which has worked well during the blackout of NYC Last year (If I am not mistaken) and upgrading to 4.0 as we upgrade the environment in 1 month's time. Pure Domino Environment!

We still use it until today just in case. My Manager and I came up with in our company and RIM has taken this from us. This DR implementation is simple, just think, remote SQL Server which is used as a failover for the HQ Sql Server.

I dont mean to hold out information but this has already been patented and it involves some manual labour initially (also when the HQ goes down and the DR needs to come up). Please let me know and we can discuss---consultant work for this?

Message 1 has a solution that we are looking at. We are in the Domino Environment. They seem to have experience in the Exchange environment so we are taking it slow before we move forward.

It does work so far as far as the 2.2 Version. The SQL with BES 4 is very simple. SQL Replication isnt that difficult to configure. The hard part is getting the hardware approved for it lol.
