Default Attachments "couldn't receive more" (problem fixed)

Please Login to Remove!

I have a user that cannot receive attachments on his 8700.

He was first getting a "X" and the message "Couldn't receive more."

On the BES, I resent the service book and checked that it was applied, sent, and received successfully.

I asked the user to open an attachment and now the "clock" comes up and nothing happens.

I asked him to take the battery out and put it back in. Nothing different after the restart.

I would appreciate any tips on getting the attachments to work for this user.

Welcome to BBForums!

Does this happen with all attachments for this person? Does it happen to anyone else?

There are a lot of possible causes of this ... I'd start here and also search this forum.

What version of BES (and service pack) are you running?

Hey thanks for the reply. I got way too focused on that error message the user was receiving "couldn't receive more." (It is a weird error..)

I will troubleshoot using the various KB articles found by searching for "Unable to view attachments."

This is a one user problem.
BES version 4.0.6.7 I can't find the service pack.

I walked the user through a wipe and re-activated the phone.

Attachments work now, so I am going to say it was a corrupt message database.

I don't use a Blackberry, I had to borrow one of my coworker's to walk him through. However, the KB articles were still helpful.
