What are some of the reasons users get stuck in pending delete?

4.1.2 Exchange

1 SQL Server
3 BES Servers
Thousands of Users

Could you elaborate a bit more? I notice when I delete a person and choose to not retain mail info that the person goes into 'Users Pending Delete' for only a few seconds or so. I assume that you set up you SQLSERVERAGENT correctly? Did you remove the user from that .nsf file, um...besprofile.nsf is i recall...

Sometimes when we delete a user they get stuck in pending delete.

What should I do with the SQL Server Agent? I have never gone into the besprofile.nsf file either.

One person was stuck in there today and I had to manually purge them. I waited about 10 minutes and they were still in pending delete.

You delete the user from BES Manager and they show up as pending delete?

What ver of exchange are you running?

You are talking about exchange so no besprofiles.nsf (that is a domino database that houses the BES USer profiles).

Default Blackberry Administrator

When I have had BES users stuck in "Users Pending Delete" in the past,
I restart the MSSQLServer Service (which also restarts SQLServerAgent service) and they leave pending delete que with in a minute or less.

I am not sure of the exact cause for this though.

My Enviroment:
One BES 4.1.0 Server
Exchange
SQL 2000 Database
400 Users

I thought they go into pending delete because if you accidentally delete someone you can still recover them.

The minute you either refresh the screen (f5) or swap to another tabbed window, they should disappear.

I had a user that would never fully delete .. the account was corrupt (don't ask me how) but T-support provided me with a SQL query that purged the user from the DB.
