WAP & HTTP Access?

Currently we have WAP internet access however I have downloaded a few free apps, (a weather one for exanple) that require HTTP access. How do I get HTTP internet access on the blackberry? Do I need to turn on Mobile Data Service?

There's several ways to get internet access on a Blackberry device...
1. WAP Browser - connects using a WAP gateway. Does not require MDS
2. Blackberry Browser - connects using the BES/MDS feature
3. Internet Browser- connects to the Blackberry Internet Service (BIS) which is hosted by RIM or some other provider. This does not require the use of a BES

Thanks - OK so I now realise that I eed to enable the MDS - Do you need to install the blakcberry browser seperate? We have the 7290 model.

The browser icon should be there already.....
If the icon isn't there, when you enable MDS on the server, resend the service books.
