Default Network Security concern?

We have a BES for staff members at our organization, but lately some non-staff members of our community that we will not add to our BES have been purchasing personal Blackberry devices. My concern is that they are able to successfully add their email account to their BIS site and connect it to their exchange mailbox provided to them by our organization. How is this possible? Should this be a security concern for us? Is this not something we should block on our firewall in the interest of the security of our exchange server?

How does this make your Exchange server more vulnerable than it already is?
