Default User Activation Triggers 3 SMTP Alert Messages

I'm currently running two BES for Exchange 4.1.4 Servers connected to an Exchange 5.5 Organisation. I have BES Alerting set to send SMTP alerts to my e-mail address (plus two other staff members) on event level ERROR.

Every time I activate a user on the BES I get 3 emails (the content is identical except the time stamp in each email is 8 seconds apart) sent to my mailbox content as below:

<N/A> | BlackBerry Messaging Agent W2KADSCOTWID006 Agent 3 (Application Event Log on W2KADSCOTWID006) | 11/09/2007 10:57:02 (6FFFC3B6) -> [AUDIT] [email address] - User activated on the BES

I would expect to receive 1 email per user activation but maybe I'm wrong?

Anyone any idea what would cause this?

I get the same thing .. I think it started showing up after I applied MR2

I'm not using MR2. I think it started to show up in our environment after applying SP4 for 4.1.

On Domino this started with 4.1.4. Fixed in MR2.

I've been told it's by design and the additional SMTP Alerts will become more meaningfull in SP5 (Eventually)!!!

I was advised that these level-5 audit log lines are not filtered by BES Alert in my BES Domino servers 4.1 SP 2 & 3 and was advised that SDR114765 is addressed in BES 4.1 SP4. Sounds like MR2 breaks it... Maybe fixed BES 4.1 SP5? I can look into it next week and keep everyone here posted.
