Default Diagram of BES Environment

Please Login to Remove!

If anyone is interested in a diagram of a BES environment, let me know. This is a blown up version of the diagram from the BES Features and Technical Overview manual. I removed some things, such as the remote Administration workstation and the Content and Application server. Its just the base all-in-one BES diagram with an Exchange server outside of it and the outbound flow chart to the handheld through the RIM network, etc.

This is the Exchange server version, but you could just change the wording on that server to Notes or Groupwise if you wish.

The image is an 8.2MB Photoshop file (PSD) and has the following dimensions:

Pixel Dimensions: 13680 x 8760
Document Size: 45.6" (width) x 29.2" (height) x 300 pixels/inch (resolution)

I made this mainly for printing it out on a plotter and hanging it on my office wall (no real motivation behind it, though). Its only 852KB zipped.

Obviously, since its at such a high resolution (I love Acrobat for its rastering capability), you can resize to just about anything below the above dimensions that your heart would desire. I have attached a JPG of it at 1200 x 768 x 72px (only 82KB) for your previewing pleasure.

Just reply to this post or PM me if you want the PSD file and let me know where to email it to.

there you are. since i can't figure out the font used in the diagram (whatthefont.com says Quay Sans or some form of it; looks a lot like the AT Quay Sans Book font they suggested), i'm working with Fontographer now to duplicate the font. i'll send that to you as well.

The font I need is Foundry Journal Book, if anyone has it. Unfortunately, my trip to Raster land and Fontographer (and Streamline and Illustrator) failed rather miserably.

I know, just saying that the text of the diagram would need to be changed (you wouldn't want Exchange in a Groupwise environment)...

I'd like a copy and if you'd like I'll host the package on a server so you can just point folks to it. Totally up to you but the offer is open.

If total with overhead is under 10MB then [email address] , otherwise [email address]

Just include in the mail if you want it hosted and I will respond with details.

Thanks!
