Default Hosted Exchange / In-house BES

My company uses an Exchange service provider for email. We would like test the functionality of the Blackberry. My question is, can we keep our current Exchange host, and set up a BES in-house for the testing? We can access our Exchange boxes via OWA, POP, and IMAP. If it possible to set up the BES in house, are there any special steps I need to take. Thanks for all the input in advance.

This isn't possible; BES needs to make a MAPI connection ... POP / IMAP / OWA wouldn't work. It'd be best if the provider can do something for you. Many Exchange hosts are either doing this or starting to do this now.
