We are implementing a corporate disclaimer on email sent to the internet. The simplest way I found to do it was to use the disclaimer function built into the Symantec AV running on our SMTP gateway servers. I tested the disclaimer with a Notes desktop client successfully. However, mail sent to an internet mail account from one of our Blackberries didn't pick up the disclaimer. Does mail from the handheld to internet route out through our gateways or bypass them?

If your using a BlackBerry Enterprise Server it should pass through your own gateways. BlackBerry Internet Service does not.

If you are sending an email from your handheld, it still has to go through your gateway infastructure. The disclaimer can be set on the firewall.
