Hi all, longtime bberry user but newb to these forums. I have a question regarding a BES configuration and have been finding a lot of mixed information on this.

I want to add some users to our BES who reside in a different organization/ forest across a trust, is this at all possible?

Trust is working completly (can modify AD parameters from trusted domains, etc.) but how do I add these users to the BES? Is there anyway to add these users from a separate forest to our global address book so they are available to add under the BES?

Cant see this being done because the exchange users arent in the same org.

The BES service account needs to be able to resolve the usernames in the exchange org.

Multiple exchange orgs are normally connected with MIIS.

I looked into MIIS but the $25K license price was a little spendy in comparison to the costs of an additional server and BES license. Sorry this is more of an Exchange question but any other thoughts/ ways to synch. that GAB without MIIS?

no license cost if you have Windows2003 enterprise edition

It cant see it helping either though since its only gal sync aka user to contact and the other way around.

I agree, we are going to lose all wireless synch. functionality as it would just be dealing with the email address, not the actual account.

so i think the definitive answer, as far as functionality is concerned, is 'no'...
