Default Assigning a Sotware Configuration?

Please Login to Remove!

Hi,

Did anyone of you notice this bug? It seems when I assign or deassign a software configuration it blows away all the filters that were set up on the handheld. Any ideas?

I haven't noticed that with GW BES, but I find we have to manually remove the software from the device if we remove them from a configuration.

I reported this a few days ago:

Assigning / Changing / Removing Software Configuration Deletes Email Filters

RIM says that is the way it is supposed to work, that it clears all config information from the handheld when re- or un-assigining as sw config.

This makes no sense to me, because it seems that only the filters are deleted, and even then, the filters have nothing to do with the handheld sw config and are user-related.

You may want to report this to RIM, if enough ppl complain maybe they will figure it out.

I entered in a ticket. The first response I got was that's not supposed to be happening, I responded that i wanted them to verify it in their labs that this is happening.
