Sorry guys - I'm fairly new to this BES admin lark!
We have a remote MSSQL2k database, and I'm attempting to change the SQL Password we use for the Blackberry configuration.
The password is easy enough to change on the SQL Server, but when we restart the SQL Services (on the SQL Server) we start to get error messages in the SQL Server Enterprise Manager: "Login failed for user 'svc_bb1_configuration'."
I have checked the Blackberry Server Configuration app on the BES, and we apparently are using Windows Authentication (according to the Database Connectivity tab). At a hunch, I checked the Registry and found the old password there..
My question is - do I just make the change to all of the relevant entries directly through regedit, or is there somewhere in a/the GUI where I can change this..? (I'm hesitant to make the change directly to the Registry) What process should I follow to change this password (both on the BES and SQL Server), as I'd like to document this process for future use..??
Thanks so much for your help with this..!
