Default Knife-Edge 4.1 Cutover - Win OS Question

Please Login to Remove!

We are prep'ing for a 4.1 cutover from a MS Win 2K3 Enterprise built-OS BES4.1.3.18.

I have yet to build out the new server, but was wondering if it would be alright to use the MS Win 2K3 R2 Standard (as that was what the server was OEM'ed with). I know that the Exchange Svr installation has to be the same version and DLL, but wondering if that has to be the case for the OS.

BES must be the same version. You can goto 2K3 R2 on the OS.

So no problems in that the new OS would be Standard not Enterprise and that it would also be R2 not regular?

Also would that not affect the Exchange install? Can I install the Enterprise Exchange 2K3 on R2 Standard?
