Emails in folders being moved upon Activation
When ever a user enterprise activates all of their emails that were in folders are moved to their inbox. Not duplicated, but moved. It has happened to me on 2 different bes servers with probably 3 different people. Happened on 4.0 bes and 4.1.3 bes. Both DOMINO.
All the correct steps are taken before activation. Wipe device. Create new bes profile. bla bla bla.
Anyone heard of anything like this? Needless to say, my users get very pissed when this happens. Most users have around 1000 emails filed in around 100+ folders. Thank god for backups, but it's still a pain.

Does this happen for all of your users, or just specific users?

specific. If it was all, then I would deff be calling RIM on it. Manage around 500 users on 4 diff bes servers. This problem has only happened to about 3 people.

Do the MAGT logs have any info? Do the mail messages have a last modified by of the BES server or the user?

In the MAGT logs all I see is "ModifiedByName detected change"
Know what that means?

Check the properties of the moved messages to see what last updated them, whether it was the BES server or the user or some other server. All that says is that the BES saw that they were changed by something.
