Smile Disable Folder Redirection Option on Handheld

Please Login to Remove!

I recently installed BES 4.1 and would like to be able to set a policy so that users can't change which folders are redirected to their BB 8310s. I set which folders I want to be redirected to their devices in BB Manager, but they can override my setting by changing it on their handheld. Is there any way to prevent them from doing this? Thanks!

To my knowledge and after checking on the guides'. I have never heard about this...

Are your user's that smart and savvy with the handheld they would change it? what harm would it be to add their personal folders for redirection?

if they mess around with it, its only going to affect them and the way they receive messages, etc.

The only harm is the server load to forward all of that junk. I am really running Blackberry Professional Software on a Small Business Server. Thanks for the quick reply!

Question is do they know how to do it and inform them that if they play around with these settings or any settings, it will affect email routing to their handheld...

I have maybe 1% of my users discover this feature. I get calls regularly from our first line BB IT folks who forget how to access it!

Wonder why they are curious to access the redirection of folders. I would just kindly inform them that if they mess around with it, it could affect the device and would leave the tech stuff to you ;)
