Default Change default installation parms on Blackberry

Please Login to Remove!

For instance.

I want the initial calendar view on my installed Blackberries to be Weekly instead of daily.

I want the parameter hide sent messages = true instead of false in my email settings

I want the default Theme to be Today

Is there anywhere I can modify these settings? Im aware that it cant be done from bes admin... but what about in the backend ms sql database?

Are you talking about enforcement of these setting or just an initial install?

1. Configure a BlackBerry with whatever setting you want.
2. Backup the BB and use this backup file as a template.
3. On all new BB perform a restore using the .ipd file from step 2.

Is there a way that this can be done using a Policy on the BES so that when the BB first connects with the BES, the Policy is sent to it and the settings are updated as well - I have to set up about 10-15 BB a day and this would be extremely useful.

These settings are only stored in SQL as a one way backup from the device to SQL. The only way to get it to go from SQL to device would be to activate a new device on an existing account which inherits the settings from the old device via the BES SQL backup.
