Default Can receive but not send emails

Hi there

I work for a company who supplies BB's to various government departments, I can't go into details for obvious reasons apart from saying that one of their users is having problems with his BB which is on a BES which our tech dept. administer remotely.

He's been receiving emails up to about 4 weeks ago and then the BB suddenly stopped receiving them, we've done a hard reset tonight and sent a test email to the BB which has been received.

But when he tries to reply to the email he gets the following err message - "Message status transaction error - decryption error"

Please can someone advise me on what the issue could be and how to go about solving it?

Would regenerating the encryption keys work?

Try regenerating an encryption key for the user as you have stated and find out what happens afterwards.

Is the device within your reach or your tech? You can try deleting the desktop sync service books and reprovision the handheld.
