I have approx 30 BBs on my BES server. However one user yesterday, showed me his BB Pearl. When he receives emails they show they are from a completely different person in our company, but if you highlight the name and select show address, it shows the actual address they are from.

Any ideas if this is an exchange issue or BES issue ? I've swopped him to a different Pearl, and the issue still arose.

What mail platform / version are you using? What version of BES?

Is in not more likely to be a GAL/AD issue? Occassionally we've had issues with new starters when IT get given the wrong name spelling by the recruiting manager.

as well as the dawgs points, how are the emails delivered in Outlook?, and when you do "outlook properties" on the name within outlook what happens..

Mail platform is Exchange 2003. Version of BES is a bit behind @ version 4

Apparently the user does not have this issue in his outlook client. Only on the Pearl.

On the user's device, go into the Address Book and check for the wrong person's name (or the correct person's name). Their email address is probably wrong. For example:

- I receive an email from 'Bob', but it shows that it's coming from 'Fred'. I do Show Address and it shows , but display name shows Fred.

In the Address Book, Fred's entry has Bob's email address.

I've had this happen with my users.....

Thanks Juwacck68 - it appears the user has duplicate and even triplicate contacts in their address book. Every 2nd entry shows a completely different email address for the contact.
