Question email not reconciling after moving to pst

Please Login to Remove!

I have a user that is complaining that his email is not deleting when moved to PST (local folder). Is there any way around this?

Have you enabled hard delete support? Move to a PST is effectively the same thing as SHIFT + DELETE with regards to how BES processes the message.

It's my understanding that once mail leaves the Inbox (including subfolders within it) from Outlook that the BlackBerry does not recognize what to do with emails on the device afterwards.

This is exactly the problem that I am running into. I was just curious if anyone knew of away around this or had ever had to deal with a situation like this before.

^ what he said ... unless of course you've configured the BES to monitor those folder too. Since you can't monitor a PST ...

I'm going to change the Subject / Topic name to something more relevant unless you have an issue with that ...

Default Synchronizing with a PST Folder

It's always been my understanding that the best way to deal with synchronizing with a PST folder is to use Desktop Manager and go to the Synchronize icon, choose Configuration, then click on Configure Reconciliation. You would then go to the Personal Folder selection window and link to the one Personal Folder that you want to synchronize with.

Have you tried this approach?
