Default Blackberry Configuration Database

Please Login to Remove!

Good afternoon.

When upgrading from 4.0.7.8 to 4.1.4 does the upgrade to the database make any schema changes to the SQL server?

We have our config database sitting on a SQL 2000 box with several other databases and just want to be sure that none of the other databases will be affected. I have an issue open with RIM, but you all are much faster with the answers.

The BESMgmt & master databases will get updated.

Be sure to have the SQL Server Role sysadmin assigned to the user that is connecting to SQL.

Assuming you're running Exchange and using Windows Auth for SQL; that'd be your BESAdmin account.

It gets updated with statistics throughout the day from handheld, but it is not updated with each email / sync.

The database schema is only modified during upgrades (generally limited to major versions and significant service packs (such as 4.1 SP2)
