Question Minimum SQL2k SP required for 4.1.4 upgrade?

Please Login to Remove!

Apologies if this has been covered (i have looked, honest!) but some of the stuff written is confusing.

We've got an upgrade planned from 4.0.6 to 4.1.4, our remote SQL database is 2000 SP3.

Do i need to go to 3a or 4 in advance or can i just leave it as it is?

Many thanks

Rubbery

Welcome to the forums!

SP3 is fine; as is SP3a or SP4. Utilize whichever you want; you can leave it as it is ... I would upgrade to SP4 personally.

Thanks, it's nice to find some friendly people!

Cheers for the clarification, upgrading the SQL server is not an option as there are other DB's on there that need to stay under SP4.

It just seems wierd that the BB upgrade doc states 2000 SP4 and nothing else.

Oh well, what can possibly go wrong.....

Cheers

I think it states it hopefully because I barked at my TAM and told him that MS no longer supports anything below SP4 ... so RIM updated their documentation to be in line with that.

Happy Friday!
